The water-resistant ETI Gourmet Digital Thermometer is an easy-to-use food thermometer, ideal for monitoring cooking, cooling and food holding temperatures as part of HACCP and health and safety procedures. It is an essential tool for professional chefs and discerning home cooks, as it helps prevent under- or overcooking chicken, measuring water temperature for yeast (or coffee!), and more. (Read our guide to ideal food temperatures here.) It measures temperature over the range of -49.9 to 149.9 °C with a clear resolution and incorporates two push button switches, on/off and hold. (This thermometer is not suitable for measuring oil that is hot enough to fry or caramel, which exceed 150°C.) The Gourmet thermometer incorporates a stainless steel food penetration probe that folds back into the side of the instrument when not in use. The handle is comfortable to grip. The battery will last up to 5000 hours of continuous use or, and will shut off automatically after 10 minutes.
